Perth Amboy AHEPA Presents "Greek Independence Day Flag Raising Ceremony"

The raising of the Greek Fag to commemorate and show our pride for 197 years of Greece’s Independence will take place on Friday, March 23rd, 2018 at The Circle at Perth Amboy City Hall, beginning at 11am. Refreshments follow. The event is hosted by the Perth Amboy AHEPA Raritan Chapter #288 and is open to everyone. The AHEPA or “American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association” was founded in 1922 in Atlanta, Georgia; to protect individuals from the evils of bigotry and discrimination. AHEPA is the largest and oldest grassroots association of American citizens of Greek heritage and Philhellenes with chapters across the United States and abroad. The mission of AHEPA is to promote the ancient Greek ideals of Hellenism, Education, Philanthropy, Civic Responsibility, and Family and Individual Excellence through community service and volunteerism.
