This course will cover the modules below which focus on high-impact language skills that directly affect daily operations.
- Safety First: Emergency & Hazard Communication Focuses on understanding OSHA signage, reporting workplace hazards, and mastering the “”language of urgency”” to prevent accidents.
- The Language of the Shop Floor Terminology for machinery, tools, and materials. Includes reading work orders, technical manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Precision Reporting & Measurements Verbal and written training for reporting production numbers, quality control issues, and basic math/measurement units used in NJ manufacturing.
- Team Integration & Soft Skills Basic conversational English for shift handoffs, asking for clarification (the “”confirming understanding”” loop), and resolving peer-to-peer friction.
