Retail Data Analyst - Fairfield, NJ

Overview

The Retail Banking Data Analyst is responsible for supporting strategic initiatives with data and surfacing data driven insights for the Retail Banking, Private Client, and Investment Services teams. They will work closely with business teams to explain historical business performance and to identify future growth opportunities. The Retail Banking Data Analyst will be the liaison between the data analytics team and upper management focusing on reports and statistics. The Retail Banking Data Analyst will have strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively partner with the data analytics teams and business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret business needs and requirements and independently perform analysis and/or build and monitor reports.
  • Present findings and visualize data and explain results to business team members
  • Identify new data capabilities to enable strategic objectives. Partner with the Data Analytics team to build business solutions.
  • Interact independently with partners on data needs and requests
  • Perform data queries, reconcile data and analyze results for senior management
  • Assists in preparation of presentations, spreadsheets analysis and general communication
  • As needed, present results from data to respective team members
  • Develops relationships proactively and interact confidently with colleagues of all levels
  • Corresponds with and gathers information from others as needed
  • Conducts research as assigned, compiles statistical reports within a timely manner
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
  • Performs other duties as needed to support both short and long-term strategies
  • In the performance of respective duties, must maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all other regulatory, security and bank policies.

 

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • PC proficiency.
  • Proficient in Power BI and other data analytic tools utilized
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to identify key insights and present results to management teams
  • Knowledge and experience in the banking industry and banking systems
  • Experience and knowledge of Retail /Commercial Banking industry, products, and data
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all individuals at different organizational levels.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
