LICENSED HEALTH INSURANCE AGENTS NEEDED

Job Description
We are currently hiring licensed health insurance agents in New Jersey who can assist and enroll eligible individuals in plan options offered on exchange under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Licensed health insurance agent must be able to perform the following duties with minimal supervision:
 
  • Educate potential members about product offerings/health plans.
  • Sell subsidized health insurance plans offered under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
  • Attend community events and meet with current and potential members to assist with enrollment process and answer questions, as required.
  • Process incoming and outbound calls from current and potential members to discuss product offerings, answer questions, update enrollment information, and assist in application process.
  • Document customer requests and issues for submission to client.
  • Navigate through clients’ online application programs.
  • Attend training classes as required to learn clients’ online application programs.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments, as required.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
  • Must hold an active health insurance agent’s license issued by the NJ Insurance Department.
  • Must be able to provide your National Producer Number issued by NJ licensing board.
  • Must be willing to take the Federally-facilitated Marketplace (FFM) exam for Individual Markets given by CMS prior to hire, or hold a current Registration Completion Certificate issued by CMS.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize issues.
  • Recognize and comply with our performance standards for work quality, work efficiency, attendance, and schedule adherence.
  • Experience in a healthcare sales environment.
  • Ability to not only understand complex health insurance programs, but to be able to explain/articulate these programs.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Ability to remain focused and productive though tasks may be repetitive.
  • Ability to multi-task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and multiple benefits.
  • Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to learn new computer system applications and successfully use in the application process.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is required.
Job Type: Contract; Weekends during the open enrollment period 11/1-12/15/2019; scheduled based on availability.
Salary: $25/hour
Required Education: High school or equivalent.
