Temporary Part Time Bookkeeper
(November 2017 – April 2018)

 
New Jersey Citizen Action, a non-profit, statewide grassroots organization fighting for social and economic justice, is currently looking to hire a temporary part time Bookkeeper to work in our Highland Park office. Working under the direction of the Director of Empowerment Programs and Finance, applicant must be a self-starter, organized, dedicated and flexible individual.

REQUIREMENTS
• Maintain, track and pay invoices
• Prepare and make deposits
• Prepare journal entries and analyze accounts
• Reconcile bank statements
• Assist with budget preparation and analysis
• Prepare monthly closing and financial statements

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience (4+ years).
• General knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices
• Knowledge of financial reporting
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Knowledge of accounting software systems, excel and word processing programs
• Excellent communication/administrative skills
• Bilingual a plus

Hours: 20 hours per week
Compensation: $22 per hour
